Około 20% pomiarów realizowanych w laboratorium to badania związane z tematyką implantów kostnych, skafoldów oraz z budową i biomechaniką tkanki gąbczastej kości. Są to badania własne prowadzone przez dr hab. Jacka Tarasiuka i dr hab. Sebastiana Wrońskiego twórców i założycieli Laboratorium Mikro i Nano Tomografii AGH.
Około 30% pomiarów realizowanych jest na potrzeby przemysłu i innych instytucji na przykład muzealnych czy edukacyjnych.
Pozostałe 50% czasu pomiarowego to pomiary w ramach współpracy naukowej z innymi ośrodkami lub instytucjami badawczymi.
Czasami nasza współpraca ogranicza się jedynie do wykonania pomiarów i podstawowej analizy wyników. Innym razem uczestniczymy w badaniach w szerszym zakresie. Wspólnie projektujemy pomiary, proponujemy metodologię, prowadzimy modelowania i symulacje.
Efektem pracy laboratorium jest kilkadziesiąt publikacji w czasopismach naukowych oraz liczne prezentacje konferencyjne.
